The Boundless Voyage Titanium Grill (Ti2023C) is a flat grill plate cut from one piece of titanium, with rows of slots for the heat to come through. It weighed 146 g on our scale and slides into a slim sleeve. I paid $22 for it.

One piece of titanium
This is the big difference from a wire grill. The whole plate is cut from one sheet, so there are no welds to crack and no wires to bend or come loose, and at 2 mm it’s thick enough to stay flat over the heat. Titanium doesn’t rust, so it can go back in the kit damp after a rinse.

Size and setup
It’s a small, narrow plate at 25 × 11 cm: room for one steak, a couple of sausages or a small pot, so it’s really for one person. There are no legs, so rest it across a fire pit, two flat rocks or logs of the same height, or a small stove frame. The slots are long and fairly wide, so slide small food like prawns or sliced vegetables across them rather than along.

Weight and packing
At 146 g on our scale it’s a little heavier than a wire grill, but it packs flat into its sleeve, which slips down the side of a pack or a kitchen box. The velcro flap keeps the plate in, and the sleeve stops it marking other gear. Cleaning is easy too: with no wires or welds, a smooth plate scrubs clean much faster than a woven mesh.

Titanium grills compared
We’ve also tested the Boundless Voyage Titanium Grill (Ti2022C), a woven titanium mesh in a frame, 25.5 × 16.5 cm and 112 g. It’s lighter and wider; the Ti2023C plate is heavier but has nothing to bend or come loose. Both are in our titanium camping cookware guide.

Conclusion: Boundless Voyage Titanium Grill (Ti2023C)Conclusion
The Boundless Voyage Ti2023C is a tough, simple grill: one slotted titanium plate with nothing to break, thick enough to stay flat, 146 g on our scale and packed in a slim sleeve. It’s easy to clean, but the cooking area is very small, it needs rocks or a fire pit to rest on, and small food can slip through the slots. I paid $22, and for one person cooking over a small fire it’s good value.
