About our trip guides
Every guide here is a place we’ve been to ourselves, usually with the 4WD and the rooftop tent. We write them up after the trip, with our own photos, so you know what to expect before you drive out: what the campsites are like, what the road in is like, what you need to book and what we’d pack next time.
Campgrounds and places get a score out of 10, the same way we score gear: how easy it is to get to and book, what’s there when you arrive, and whether we’d go back. Guides link to the gear we used on the trip, and every place with a pin shows up on the trip map, so you can plan a route that strings a few of them together.
