The Boundless Voyage Titanium Bowl (Ti1171T) is a 500 ml double-walled titanium bowl for camp meals. The double wall means you can hold it with boiling-hot food in it without burning your hands, and at 105 g it hardly adds anything to the pack. I paid $50 for it.
What You’re Getting
A 500 ml bowl in double-walled TA1 pure titanium, 12.4 cm across and 7 cm high, with “Boundless Voyage 500ML Titanium” laser-marked on the side, a plum-blossom pattern pressed into the outer wall and a thick rolled rim. It comes in a black mesh drawstring bag. On our scale it weighed 105 g.

Hot food, cool hands
The double wall is the reason to buy this bowl. Spoon in boiling-hot soup or noodles and you can still hold it in your hands, where a single-wall metal bowl would be too hot to touch. The plum-blossom pattern on the outside gives your fingers something to grip, and the base sits flat without sliding or tipping.
It won’t keep food hot for long, though. There’s no vacuum between the walls, so it’s not a thermos, and it can’t go on a stove, a campfire or in the microwave: heat your food in a pot and serve it into the bowl.

Cleaning and build
Inside, it’s smooth and round, with no seams for food to stick in, so it’s quick to clean, and it’s dishwasher safe at home. Titanium doesn’t rust and doesn’t change the taste of food. Turned over, the base has the same plum-blossom pattern, which also makes the bowl stronger, and a small “Ti” stamp in the middle. The spork in our photos is the Boundless Voyage titanium spork.

Packing it
At 105 g it’s very light, but it isn’t collapsible, so it takes up the space of a bowl in the pack. Two bowls of the same size don’t stack well either, which is why we have one of each size: the 500 ml nests and stacks perfectly inside the 800 ml. It comes with a mesh bag to keep it in.

500 ml or 800 ml?
Boundless Voyage makes this bowl in two sizes: this 500 ml and an 800 ml version, with the same double wall and pattern. The 800 ml is 15.9 cm across and 8.5 cm high, and the 500 ml nests and stacks perfectly inside it, so the pair takes up the space of one bowl in a backpack. There’s also a set of the two. We paid $85 for the set, $20 less than the $105 we paid for the two bowls on their own. For a cheaper bowl that folds flat, see our Silicone Collapsible Bowls.

Titanium bowl comparison
We’ve also tested two single-walled Boundless Voyage bowls. Unlike this one, they can go straight on a stove or a fire, and they weigh less than half as much. The 400 ml bowl gets too hot to hold with hot food in it, and the 300 ml bowl with a folding handle is the one to lift off the stove by its handle. The 500 ml is the only one that stays cool in your hands.

Conclusion: Boundless Voyage Titanium Bowl (500ml)Conclusion
The Boundless Voyage 500 ml titanium bowl is double-walled, so you can hold it with boiling-hot food in it, and at 105 g it’s very light. It’s rust-proof, doesn’t change the taste of food and is quick to clean. It can’t go on a stove or a fire, it won’t keep food hot like a thermos and it isn’t collapsible, but it nests inside the 800 ml bowl, and it should last a lifetime. I paid $50.

Yes, if you want a bowl for life. I paid $50, more than a plastic or steel bowl, but it's light, rust-proof and you can hold it with boiling-hot food in it.
