Proper bowls take up a lot of room in a camp kitchen. Silicone bowls that fold flat solve that, and this set of three, with lids, cost me $15. It lives in the back of the drawers in our car, and we use the bowls on most trips: for leftovers from dinner, for freshly baked bread, and very often for overnight oats.
What You’re Getting
Three teal and grey silicone bowls in 300, 600 and 900 ml, each with a grey plastic lid. The sides are made of rings of silicone that pop up into a bowl and push back down flat. Nested and folded, all three together weighed 290 g on our scale.

Folding flat
This is the whole point. Push a bowl down and the silicone rings fold into each other until it’s a flat disc. Once they’re all flat, the three also fold over each other, the smaller ones inside the bigger one, so the whole set ends up as one very compact stack, about the footprint of the largest bowl. Pull the rim up and it’s a bowl again.

Lids and food storage
Each bowl has its own lid, which turns it into a food container, and that’s how we use them most. Leftovers from dinner go into a bowl with the lid on and into our Kings drawer fridge, and freshly baked bread keeps in one too. Our favourite use is overnight oats: we mix the oats with some water or milk in a bowl the night before, put the lid on, and breakfast is ready in the morning. The bowls aren’t high quality, but the lids keep well enough for what we use them for. The silicone handles −40 °C to 240 °C, according to the listing, so it’s fine with hot food too.

Conclusion: Silicone Collapsible BowlsConclusion
This set of three silicone bowls folds flat and nests into one stack, and the lids make them food containers as well as bowls. You get 300, 600 and 900 ml sizes, all three weigh 290 g, and the set cost me $15. We use them on most trips, for leftovers in the fridge, bread and overnight oats. They’re not high quality, and the lids are good enough rather than airtight, but they fold pretty flat and are easy to store. For $15, they’ve earned their spot in the back of our drawers.
